Commissions
-
A commission is a painting created specifically for a particular client at their request. It is a collaborative process between the artist and client that results in a bespoke work of art.
Whenever possible, I visit a commission client in person to view the space where the commission will hang. The space informs the size, colour and subject of the commission. If an in-person visit is not possible, photos of the space will substitute. Communication is key at the onset of the commission process.

I am known for my still life and landscape paintings.
Most clients commissioning an artwork will reference another painting by me that they like, have a photo they want re-created, or are simply looking for something in my style. Commissions must be in keeping with my general subject matter and mediums. If you have a special request outside of my normal style of work, please submit an inquiry.
-
Commissions are custom work and cost more. Particularly large or unusual requests may incur additional charges. To receive a quote, please contact me here and provide the details of your request.
-
Almost any size can be accommodated. Custom canvasses or wood panels may be subject to additional fees.
-
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required prior to beginning work. The remaining 50% is paid by the client upon completion of the artwork, prior to shipping or delivery. Accepted payment methods include e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, certified cheque or money order. I do not accept personal cheques. An electronic invoice and receipt will be provided. A cancelled commission may be subject to material costs, a re-stocking fee, etc.
-
Commissions are completed in the order they are received. A commission request is placed in the queue once the 50% deposit is received. Wait-times for a completed project can vary depending on how many requests were received ahead, and the size and scope of the commission. Timing will be discussed and agreed upon prior to starting work.
