Artist Statement

Exploring the quiet weight of history and the emotional resonance of the objects we choose to keep

Inspired by heirlooms, vintage interiors, aged textiles, and botanical forms, I create expressive, contemporary paintings that weave together memory and a sense of place. Working in acrylic, ink, oil pastels, and mixed media, on fabrics like dressmakers’ muslin and drapery linens, I layer colour and texture to mirror how memory surfaces over time. Flowers, vintage vessels, and textile-inspired patterns recur as motifs, celebrating inheritance, care, and the enduring presence of the things we hold close.
